Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500

the Shelby Mustangs were equipped with a modified 289ci V8, but in 1967 the GT500 is launched, equipped with a big 428ci V8 PI (for Police Interceptor), officially rated at 360 HP but under-estimated so as not to frightened the insurance companies.

The GT500 shares the new shape of the 67 Mustang, but with Shelby add-ons, such as specific tail lights, or body elements in fiber. The engine is fitted with an aluminium intake manifold and a pair of four barrel Holley carburetors. The suspensions were reinforced version of the Mustang GT's, and the GT500 was equipped with standard disc brakes. It was also the first american car to be equipped with a roll-bar as standard.

The superb Shelby GT500 we are proud to offer is 1967 model fitted with the automatic gearbox. The history is clear from the delivery to a Boston based Ford dealer until its importation in Europe, and the sale to the present owner.

The car is is a stunning original condition. The deep blue paint is shinny, the interior is near perfect, and the engine gearbox, and all mecanical components are working like a dream. The car retains its original specification, except the front seats that come from a more comfortable 71 mach1, and the steering wheel that is not original. these elements can be found on the market if needed.

Bugatti Type 51

The Bugatti Type 35, the dominant force in Grand Prix racing since 1924, is already starting to become old, obsolete and is no longer competitive against the new generation of Grand Prix racers. In dire need of a replacement, Ettore Bugatti presents in 1931 the all-new Grand Prix Bugatti, the Type 51.

Even though the two cars look very much alike, they are fundamentally different in terms of engineering. The new 2300cc straight 8 engine with double overhead camshaft of the Type 51 racer developed a strong 160 bhp when the most powerful Type 35, the T35B, could only crank out 140 bhp thanks to the use of a supercharger.

The fate of the Type 51 in Grand Prix racing wasn’t up to par with the expectations of its creators. With the competition of Government-backed Italian and German brands, the Type 51 never managed to shine like its predecessor. With a single win in its career at the 1931 French Grand Prix, it ended the line of pre-war Bugatti racers. With approximately 40 units built, the Bugatti Type 51 is rare and exceptional.

BMW Z1

The Z1 was designed to create passion and seduce buyers into purchasing a fun and surprising car. The engineering team was given no rules to create the car. With this project, BMW wanted to ensure that the niche market for two-seat roadsters was alive, and make the Z1 the first of a kind. Built around the engine and gearbox of the 325i, the Z1’s monocoque frame is built by Baur and uses all the available technologies to ensure the rigidity of the chassis. Handling is particularly impressive, even by modern standards.
But the true originality of the Z1 resides in its doors. Instead of the conventional side opening, they are driven down into the body of the car. Safety is excellent thanks to the height of the flanks, making it legal to drive the Z1 with its doors opened or closed.
As soon as it was presented, it was an instant success. BMW claimed they had 5,000 orders prior to the beginning of the production, and shortly after it had started to arrive on the road, they apparently had 35,000 orders for this innovative roadster. However, production quickly slowed down. The burst of the automobile speculation in 1989 leads to the understanding that most orders were purely speculative. In 1991, after only 4 years in production, BMW stopped selling the Z1. Only 8,000 units were built, nearly half of them in 1990 alone.

The BMW Z1 we are offering for sale is a beautiful late 1990 model. Delivered new in France in the superb “Monza Blue” color, production numbers indicate that only 6 cars were delivered in this shade in France. What’s more, of the total production, only 193 cars were ordered in this color, making it one of the rarest ones available – most Z1 roadsters were sold in black, red or dark green.
Particularly cherished, this Z1 has only 92,000 km on the clock, a low mileage considering the robustness of BMW’s inline 6. The excellent condition of the car indicates that it was well-maintained all its life.

Ford Mustang 289 Cabriolet

This Car released in 1964, the Ford Mustang aimed to take the car market by storm with a product that offered performance and personality to the masses. Thought by its creators as the American VW Beetle, the large variety of engine and optional features allowed for each customer to create his perfect Mustang.

For the 1967 model-year, the Mustang received its first redesign. While the overall lines remained unchanged, it seemed as every detail had grown. The overall length increased, the main grill grew, the wheel arches became more prominent. Most Mustang aficionados consider 1967 the best model year before its design features became too exaggerated.

This Ford Mustang is one of 44,000 convertibles sold that year by Ford. Equipped with the optional 289 ci V8, it started its life in California where the current owner purchased it more than 10 years ago. This Mustang had always been carefully maintained by its consecutive owners.

After he purchased it, the owner decided to offer this Mustang a new youth. The venerable cast-iron 289 gave way to an all-new alloy 302 ci from Ford Motorsport, which develops 350 bhp. Several mechanical components were also overhauled and replaced, including the exhaust system and the radiator. Suspensions and brakes were also overhauled.

BMW 2800 CS

In the 1969, the BMW line-up lacked a 6-cylinder coupĂ© able to compete with Mercedes’ own 250 SE and 280 SE, respectively launched in 1965 and 1967. Using the underpinnings of the 2000C and 2000CS, the 2800 CS replaced them in 1969. Longer than its predecessors, the 2800 CS allowed the use of the all 2,800cc, 6-cylinder engine from the E3 7-Series developing 170 bhp.

The BMW 2800 CS we are happy to offer for sale is a genuine Group 2 car used in the Italian touring car championship from 1969 to 1971. It was very successful in the hands of Italian driver Giuseppe Tarpani, taking 3rd overall place in the 1970 Championship in the 3000cc class.

Developping 280 bhp (dyno-tested), this exceptional BMW 2800 CS Group 2 is equipped with a 5-speed Getrag gearbox and three Weber carburetors. The important lot of spares available with the car allows to race in either the 1969 or 1971 specifications.

This BMW 2800 CS Group 2 is eligible in most historical races including Le Mans Classic. With its exceptional level of performance and its perfect, ready-to-race condition, this BMW 2800 CS is a serious competitor for top spots in vintage races.
